What more can a girl ask for on her birthday, than to be surrounded by her sweet friends? Mary was wonderful enough to host a double birthday luncheon at her house for Brandalyn and I. Mary made her wonderful potato soup (the ultimate yummy comfort food) with homemade bread and spinach salad with lemon poppy seed dressing and berry triffle for dessert. It was a little slice of heaven! Mindy was also there but had to run before we took the picture and Heather was already in her new place too far away! We miss her every day:).
That night Seth and I and Gordon and Brandalyn went out for Thai food. I had just ruined a 'pad thai' dish in my wok at home, so I was a bit skeptical that it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised to find the food was very good and I wouldn't mind trying it again. I'll wait a while before cooking it though! Brandalyn was really nice and got me a cake. I kept saying it was for both of us. "No today is your day and tomorrow is mine", she kept saying. True enough I guess, but it's still hard to believe we're only a day apart. At this point, our age is getting to be just one big candle. Or atleast that's how Seth saw it. This started as a few indiviual candles, and he had to be a pyro and see how high of a flame he could raise. It was actually kind of hot near my face! There was also a picture of Brandalyn and I eating a mixture of cake and frosting that Seth said we didn't have the guts to eat. We couldn't back down from that! But, I decided not to include the photo, it wasn't quite so attractive:). I'm a lucky, lucky girl. What a fun day!
